Where to stay in Wellington

As an established, modern capital city, Wellington offers accommodations of numerous shapes and sizes. Get a harbor view at a luxury hotel by the waterfront, or enjoy simple rental rooms at one of the many backpacker hostels. Cheaper accommodation lies outside the downtown area, with motels, campsites, and RV parks providing options for those on smaller budgets, and travelers wanting to get out of town and into the rolling, green hills. Wellington benefits from a wide range of transport and a very efficient infrastructure, so you'll have access to attractions no matter where you stay.

  • This place is amazing. It's like an art gallery. I can't recommend enough. Very quirky, loved it. Would be suitable for any type of group.  more »
  • This place was really cool, lots of weird handmade sculptures scattered around the place. Bathrooms were clean, course was well looked after. Will come back again  more »
  • Group of us came late Sunday afternoon for a round of mini golf. This place is so interesting and so inventive! Awesome time and the course is challenging and a good way to spend time with mates.  more »

  • This is by far the most fun mini golf course I've ever played. It's innovative and eclectic. The metal artwork alone is unique enough to warrant a visit.
  • Love this place! So much cool stuff to see and the best mini golf ever.
  • It a cute 18 hole golf extravaganza. Very unique and the artist has weaved his sculptures into the holes so you get a little show with each hole. Easy enough for the kids to try but still held my interest as an adult. Walked around after looking at the sculptures. It reminds me of the mad hatter's workshop.
  • Looks great. Nice artwork. Unfortunately the course is so badly maintained and unimaginative that it detracts from the experience. They clearly stopped caring a while ago...
  • So many awesome sculptures and random things to check out while playing putt putt. Greens could do with bit of maintenance..... but that's part of the charm. Fun for all ages
