Wanaka, Wanaka

(4.8/5 based on 900+ reviews on the web)
Encircled by vast lakes and towering mountains, Wanaka serves as one of New Zealand's premier tourist resorts. In the winter, snow sports beckon with skiing, snowboarding, sledging, and more, while the warm summers offer opportunities for hiking, fishing, kayaking, or simply relaxing and enjoying the view. Once you've worked up an appetite, make a stop at one of the friendly establishments on the resort's cafe strip. Wines from the nearby vineyards are particularly popular here and most locals will be able to tell you all about them. Our Wanaka vacation generator makes visiting Wanaka and other Wanaka attractions simple, and helps you make a travel plan personal to you.
