Was blown away at the cost - $30 per adult was a bit more than I'd anticipated. Lots of pools and temperatures to chose from, all well maintained though a bit tired as all mineral pools are really. Ap... more »
My husband and I took a bus trip out to the hot springs. It was a very easy, inexpensive bus trip from the City Bowl in Auckland into Waiwera, a little beach community about 50km away. I thought the p... more »

Overpriced for what it is. Staff not all that helpful and long waits for the shower. Very relaxing in some areas though.
Natural hot pools and spas, as well as built indoor/outdoor pool complex with hot pools and slides. It's a great experience to try a couple of times. Check their website for movie night screening times in the main/ big pool. Facilities are good but haven't been refurbished in a while. Nothing particularly wrong and the place is clean.
Nice resort with Hotpools and slides. Movie pool sound wasn't too great. But their food shop was outstanding!
Pools are a bit old and tired, paint coming off all pools and walls, water slides need new ramps and stairs, over priced for the quality and experience. Lovely friendly staff were the one redeeming feature.
Needs a lot of what done, I remember going when at school in the 80/90's and it's still the same. The pools over time have degraded, paint coming off the pool walls and bottom, the bottom of the pools are disintegrating, broken sharpe tiles around the pool, Paths are rough sharp concrete still. Not a place I'm racing to go back to.
