Awhitu Regional Park Reviews
I went camping here with a friend and we had a neat time in this simple but beautifully located campsite. Clean as possible long drop loos , no shower but we took a little solar with us which worked a... more »
The park has an excellent group of picnic tables on the upper level under cool shade trees. The walk along the beach is short and easy with lots to see. The old Brooks homestead is an interesting land... more »
We visited the park and were the only ones there! Admittedly it was the middle of winter and a storm was coming! This is a beautiful spot; lovely white sand beaches and farm land to wander over. There... more »
Really nice beach with plenty of shade. Kids will love this place. There is a camping ground next to the beach. Booking essential with Auckland Regional council for camping ground. If you are visiting the beach please aware of the low & high tide. We went on a Sunday and beach was really good & but next Saturday, beach was empty. No water at all. Picnic area got couple of firewood BBQ machines.
Love the Gazebo, it was a sunny day and yet we had benches under shade. not crowded. since it was a low tide the beach was not of more interest.
A beautiful and very well looked after park. My 2 year old loved both the grassy picnic area and the beautiful soft sand beach. This is a park well worth the 2 hour trip from Auckland. A wondeful drive with lots to see and well looked after roads
Quiet and relaxing. Great beach when you get the tides right
Good walks available and some wildlife to see. Direct links to beach are possible and good site for Geocaching.
