Where to stay in Christchurch

Offering an extensive range of hotels, hostels, motels with kitchens, and campsites, Christchurch makes a great place to set up camp as you explore the city and beyond. The greatest diversity of accommodations clusters in the city center next to North and South Hagley parks. You'll find apartments, boutique and luxury hotels, and backpacker hostels in the central district and towards the coast, while cheaper places to stay--such as motels, RV parks, and economy hotels--dot the outskirts and the area surrounding the airport.

  • We have visited while ago and experience of winery tour and drink Murdoch James wine is still a pleasure
  • Great guide on the winery tour
  • We stayed in the cottage on the winery, did the Grape to Glass tour, ate in the bloom restaurant twice, and loved it all. Restaurant is great with excellent service, Grape to Glass tour is very informative, and the cottage is lovely in a relaxed and peaceful country setting. Made some small suggestions for the cottage and they were apparently implemented within about 24 hours!! There is a clear commitment to making everything great for customers and we highly recommend the Murdoch James Estate for a tour, meal, stay, or all three :-)
