  • Grab your torch and keep in mind you'll be getting wet. We didn't make it to the third set of caves which had the glow worms, a bit nervous after the heavy rainfall in the region. Cool little cave tho...  more »

  • Awesome caves. They go very deep, the are glow worms. Bring multiple light sources, rock shoes would be nice to have, enjoy yourself :)
  • Beautiful cave with glow worms inside. Gummy shoes, proper lights and head protection would be good for more fun.
  • Caves are awesome, any day, any cave. Even better if you don't have an entrance fee or need a tour guide! Be smart and bring two torches, pay attention to where you're going and respect and don't deface anything!
  • A great way to spend a few hours. The main attraction is a cave that takes an hour or so to explore, even longer if you are ready to wade through the river inside. Several of the chambers have a great display of glow worms, in some areas just inches from your head. The outside area has a walking track and climbable rocks.
  • Classic Kiwi Adventureism.. There is nothing commercial about this place, bring your own torch and clothes you don't mind getting muddy and wet. You can get as deep into the cave system as you feel comfortable doing, loads of fun!
