more »

  • A great way to spend a few hours. The main attraction is a cave that takes an hour or so to explore, even longer if you are ready to wade through the river inside. Several of the chambers have a great display of glow worms, in some areas just inches from your head. The outside area has a walking track and climbable rocks.
  • Classic Kiwi Adventureism.. There is nothing commercial about this place, bring your own torch and clothes you don't mind getting muddy and wet. You can get as deep into the cave system as you feel comfortable doing, loads of fun!
  • Worth the detour to go see these natural caves. Bring a flashlight or headlamp and if you are going to go deeper into the cave be prepared to get wet as the water flowing through the cave can get about waist deep and wear good shoes, not jandels. There's only one route through the cave so it's pretty much impossible to get yourself lost. The glow worms are also very abundant in the cave as you go deeper in.
  • Great, if you don't mind getting your feet wet, the glow worms are amazing.
  • Worth a visit. Nice to be able to explore freely
