  • Everything also need to pay. No toilet for public (under Reno) but the sign of Reno is faded. Who wants to eat here must bring along your own wasabi and sauce. They are selling 40cents per pkt which f...  more »
  • If you're driving past High Country Salmon, definitely go in and have a look! We didn't eat their cafe food (it looked delicious) but we did buy some fresh salmon that was incredible!
  • Love the bagels so much. The sashimi is so fresh but the chowder is plain normal. But its worth a visit!

  • Great place to feed salmon and eat them. I love the chowder soup far more than hamburger. You can also buy a coffee here but taste so so. The only big drawback is NO TOILET!! So we drive a long way to find another toilet. It's very inconvenient.
  • Nice and clean place. Food was decent enough and it was served up quickly. Coffee was good too. No toilet available; do take note.
  • Quick stop after lake Pukaki and Tekapo where you can enjoy salmon fishing and burgers . I had been here in autumn and I had experienced spectacular beauty of Lake Wairepo Arm >>> -check my pics, they are stunning.
  • This is a nice stop by the road. They have some dishes with salmon (what else?!) and hot drinks. I also had the salmon burger and that was pretty good. I recommend it. I bought a small tray of sashimi and it was under my expectations, there were some fat in the salmon slices that you don't see on the salmon you get in a sushi shop. But the most disappointing bit was that there were no toilets for clients.
  • April 2016 was my 2nd visit, love the salmon shasimi sold here. NZD$20 for 250 grams, way cheaper than those sold at Pukaki Visitor Centre. Although the packaging may not be as good or as attractive, you can be assured that the salmon sold here is very fresh and as delicious. As it is close to Lake Pukaki (just about 10 minutes drive), you can takeout and eat there too. The staff will help you wrap it nicely. You get to feed the salmon for free, all visitors love trying it out. Free Wi-Fi connection.
