  • It's an interesting place but you literally spend 15 mins looking at someone's collection of dolls for $15. I wish I'd saved my money
  • Had to stop, seen it from the road and needed to make a stop. Cool memorabilia and well worth a slow walk around. Kids love it.
  • Wonderful displays of vintage dolls set up beautifully in glass rooms with amazing detail. Great train display which keeps you watching for ages! Children love it and older grandparents have lots of m...  more »

  • A must see when travelling through Tirau. Amazing coffees and scones too, in addition to the incredible doll and toy museum. Excellent country views up on the hill.
  • A lovely step back in time, exploring all the toys from childhood... be it 10 years ago or 50!
  • Took our 15 month old with the wife and I and wow, way better than we thought it would be! The majority of the toys/dolls are in interesting displays, such as wombles in a hill, shops, bars, etc. Also, it's not just for the girls, there's a massive train track taking up an entire wall, models, loads of boys toys and displays the guys will appreciate. To top it all off, the coffee is some of the best I've had, they obviously have spent a lot of time tuning the coffee machine, use of thermometers in the milk jug shows they really care. Scones are huge and tasty too, if you come just for the coffee in the magnificent stag hall, you won't be disappointed. The grounds are perfect for a picnic under the trees after a museum visit too.
  • She's algood but she needs a little work aye
  • Love the Castle!
