From the reviews I was looking forward to their ice cream. Didn't realize it was Kapiti, which you can get anywhere in NZ. Still good of course, but wasn't local or anything.  more »

  • Friendly staff members, its location is a bit hidden and unless you know about it, you might miss it. Sells mostly honey & bee related stuffs; have sections dedicated for children as well as to educate them about bees. Also stock honey-based wine and liquor. The price is quite expensive - standard souvenir shop price.
  • This was an amazing place. You can see the bees at work through glass windows. I sat for about an hour watching this vety informative vido about the honey bee. It was well worth the visit.
  • Every honey product you can imagine (including alcohol) None are cheap but it's well worth a look. They have indoor bees you can see working through glass, it's a bright and open layout and there is free tastings of about 10 different honeys! Take half hour to stop in and look through of you are in the area.
  • Free to enter, good knowledge about bees, plenty of things for the kids to look at and if you like honey they have about a hundred different ways to get some!
  • Wonderful shop with an actual hive on display and great information for those interested. Staff were great and if you need a pick me up The Buzzer and a macadamia brittle is your fix.
