  • Oh my god what can I say, this place is paradise the kids made a big swirly lollipop and some other sweets, had a wicked time while we were there visiting from oversea will definitely go again
  • Hang your head in shame, it was the worst experiance I have ever had. Dirty outdated. Stuck in a dirty 1970's, boring. Over priced. Lacks everything from excitment to lack of cleaning.
  • A must stop 4 candy fix this place is a Tradition.... so I gotta say candy was Sparse this visit still Happy 2 Stop In get the Rock Candy down and Fruit Sorbets... Sugar Rush 4 the homeward bound hiko...  more »

  • the road signs from north are just about non exsistent to candyland, after getting lost we finally got there .HOW DISSAPOINTING !!!!!, the palce was so old and jaded, toilets were out of order, a cafe with no food in it ,christmas decorations still up. and a shop with next to no product on the shelves. the show was way over priced at $15 for adults and $10 for children and only one show a day at 10.30 am ( its the holidays) it was such a let down, to think i drove from whangaparaoa to hamilton for that!! what a waste of time.
  • Xmas tree is STILL up! I agree this place looks like a prison or something from Stephen King's IT! Poor people. How do they earn a living?
  • Where dreams go to die. This place was dilapidated and dated. The eftpos wasn't working which was terrible because we had to stay longer to search for coins, I could feel my soul being slowly torn from inside me, like a dementor from Harry Potter. I expected voldemort to pop out from behind every dark corner. I decided to go to the toilets and found myself having to hover squat as there are no toilet seats, which was unfortunate because it was leg day yesterday #strugglecity. From the outside it looks like a prison but on the inside it looked like a prison. The drink fridge was also a disappointment, under stocked it looked like someone had robbed it and knocked everything over. 10/10 would go again, can't wait to take the kids. 5 stars because you have to see this place to believe it.
  • The place needs a bit tidy up and revamp. It might be a cool place back in the days but things need to changed with the time. The tour was good though.
  • I took my grandchildren to Candyland today. What a dump! We ordered a hot chocolate and a flat white coffee. I visited the bathroom while waiting. It was so dirty and it stank! My grandson echoed my disgust after his bathroom encounter as well. My hot chocolate tasted was undrinkable. I think the milk was off. My trained barista friend's flat white was made with water with hardly any milk at all! We were so disappointed, we returned the drinks and just left. I will never go back there again, and will tell everybody I know about my bad experience. Unfortunately I cannot give it less than one star!
