  • Beautifully situated, the bridge opened in 2010 and provides foot and cycle access across the Waiwhakaiho River. Very attractive and unusual design and well worth a photo or 3 or 4. As well as being a...  more »
  • You can drive to within a short walk of this bridge and park up at one of the various spots around/near Peringa Park, which is in the Fitzroy area. Or of course you can walk/run/cycle to the bridge vi...  more »
  • Beautiful construction and looks like the ribs of a huge Whale. The coastal cycle track passes through it, but this can be reached by walking as well.  more »

  • A beautiful, architecturally fascinating bridge. Worth a visit for all tourists in the area. It is also the beginning of the coastal walkway which is a famous attraction for New Plymouth.
  • A very relaxing place to visit and is also a great place to get on or off the walk way. The bridge is an interesting structure, don't be alarmed if moves a little while you're on it.
  • Spot Mt Taranaki when looking thru the bridge! Great spot for a bike ride!
  • It's nice, but I didn't find it incredible. You can get some decent photos of Mt Taranaki through the arch of the bridge
  • Nice walk, even better if you can ride a bike there. It can get windy there, so carry appropriate clothing if you feel cold too quickly.
