Anatoki Salmon, Takaka

(4.2/5 based on 220+ reviews on the web)
Enjoy your fish a whole new way at Anatoki Salmon, a freshwater fishing experience based on the banks of the Anatoki River. The attraction provides fishing rods and instruction before taking visitors to the river, where the dense population of Chinook salmon makes it difficult not to catch one. Whatever you catch cannot be thrown back. Instead, staff members clean and cook it for you with side dishes, or prepare it for a to-go meal. You also have the pricier option of preparing your catch as sashimi. A playground is on site for smaller children.
