Came up to visit, to see we could get to the snow on a sunny weekend, nope, not to be. We found the centre to be very informative, and busy. The track to the Waterfall, up and down, very muddy, but... more »
In addition to the longer trails there are some very accessible shorter walks from the visitor centre. I was nervous about the drive up to the centre in our 7.5 metre campervan but it's a good tarmac.... more »
Lots of interesting and informative displays. Well worth visiting and taking some of the well laid out and maintained walks. Department of Conservation clearly put a lot of effort in to provide an excellent visitor experience on natural NZ.
This is a great start for all the walks around Egmont National Park, definitely worth stopping by. The visitor centre is very informative, clean and well maintained. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Large parking available, with clean toilets facility. Unfortunately, it was raining when we were here, didn't get to appreciate the amazing view of Mt Taranaki from here.
A beautiful place with great view of the mount Taranaki. There are great walks around. You can take a hike to the waterfall, there also a old power station to visit.
Gorgeous little waterfall along Mount Taranaki. The hike to the waterfall is relatively easy at about 25 minutes. The visitor centre also has a nice cafe along with several different trials you can hike around Mount Taranaki, which are also well signposted. Highly recommend visiting this spot
Beautiful waterfall. Steep walk down to base of falls, but worth it. Unique century old power generation plant there too.
