Inspirock Rating:
4/5 based on 100+ reviews on the web
Get the most out of winter at Mt. Hutt, South Island's go-to ski resort with a vertical height of 683 m (2,240 ft). The mountain offers a variety of ski levels and lifts, with a beginners' area as well as a large off-piste territory, and plenty of intermediate and advanced runs in between. High-speed chair lifts whisk eager skiers and snowboarders to the top, while the world's first fully enclosed magic carpet calms beginner's nerves. Refuel at either the full restaurant or cafe at the mountain's base after a day on the slopes. There are no accommodations on the mountain, but plenty of offerings nearby.
