OGO Rotorua, Rotorua

#2 of 18 in Fun & Games in Rotorua
Step inside a giant transparent orb and prepare to roll, bounce, and race at OGO Rotorua, the largest ball rolling park in the world. Developed by the inventors of this unusual adventure experience, also known as Zorbing, the park lets guests choose from multiple ride routes across 6.8 hectares (17 acres) of hills overlooking Lake Rotorua and Mokoia Island. Go it alone or invite some friends and family to accompany you in your orb. You'll also be joined by 40 litres (10 gallons) of water, warm in summer and cool in winter. If you'd prefer to stay dry, opt for the harness ride. Add OGO Rotorua and other attractions to your Rotorua trip itinerary using our Rotorua tour builder website .

  • My wife has been wanting to do this for ages. We had such a blast, it should definitely be on everyone's list when they go to Rotorua! We did the long track in the same ball and then did the short tra...  more »
  • Had the kids go on this so can't comment on how actual fun it was, but it did appear to be fun, and the kids loved it. It's a bit pricey to be honest, and did take a while to get the 3 different track...  more »
  • Great fun for 9,11 and 40 year olds alike! We did all three tracks and had a great time. Highly recommend at least 2 people per ball - is much more fun slipping and sliding and giggling with family or...  more »

  • Awesome activity. I challenge you to try and get to the bottom without laughing the whole way. I don't think it can be done.
  • Really fun time and nice staff we went when it was raining and it was perfect no lines and you get wet anyway!
  • Most fun you can have with a ball on a hill. Staff were so friendly and helpful, cannot recommend enough.
  • Super fun! Make sure you do the water option. They pump warm water into the balls so it's like getting in a sauna even during the winter.
  • As a spectator there is a deck with lounge beanbags to sit in. There is locker space, a spa for in between turns and an office area at the front to order rides and view photos. A car picks up riders at the bottom of the hill and drives them to the start at the top. There are two options; straight (2x can race at a time, fast quick ride) and a big zig zag (slower but longer ride). Can ride single or tandem and wet or dry (will still get a bit wet).
