OGO Rotorua, Rotorua

4.6
#2 of 18 in Fun & Games in Rotorua
Step inside a giant transparent orb and prepare to roll, bounce, and race at OGO Rotorua, the largest ball rolling park in the world. Developed by the inventors of this unusual adventure experience, also known as Zorbing, the park lets guests choose from multiple ride routes across 6.8 hectares (17 acres) of hills overlooking Lake Rotorua and Mokoia Island. Go it alone or invite some friends and family to accompany you in your orb. You'll also be joined by 40 litres (10 gallons) of water, warm in summer and cool in winter. If you'd prefer to stay dry, opt for the harness ride. Add OGO Rotorua and other attractions to your Rotorua trip itinerary using our Rotorua tour builder website .

  • My only regret from my trip to NZ was not doing another round of Zorbing. This was my favorite thing we did there. The weather wasn't great the day we went and since there was a lot of wind several of...  more »
  • I had no idea what to expect, and I am glad because it was honestly one of the most fun things I've done in a decade. I felt like a little kid again and I'd encourage everyone to give it a try. It it ...  more »
  • We had a great time at OGO! Our family of four decided to do the sidewinder course and we had an absolute blast! The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable about the area and other nearby attraction...  more »

  • Definitely a must-do in Rotorua! They have 3 different tracks where visitor can purchase a combo to experience the 3 tracks. Do make sure to bring a swim wear as you can get really wet inside the OGO. Would recommend to go for the side-winder track as it is more fun. Best of all they provide hot spa prior n after so to keep you warmed :)
  • From the moment you arrive at OGO you have a sense of excitement and the staff are wonderful at welcoming you and making sure everyone is having a fun. If anyone has any concerns they are happy to talk things through very clearly and thorough, especially for the young ones...who ended up fearless and wanting to go again and again... I highly recommend going in the balls with someone to share the experience...so much laughter!! You'll soon realise one go isn't enough as you'll want to do all tracks if not more 😁 Thanks again OGO and especially Pete for going above and beyond and making sure we had a great time. And when you think it can't get better they have hot tubs at both ends of the tracks! So much fun for everyone!
  • I chose this place over the other 'ball rolling downhill' place as I was on foot and closer to town. Staff were friendly and it was quiet so I didn't have to wait long before my turn. It is definitely a different experience however it's ridiculously expensive for something that's all over in under a minute. Was it fun? Yes. Was it worth $75? No way.
  • One of the best parts of my trip to Rotorua! Weather back in Feb was very wet so what best way to spend a rainy day? Get into a ball with water and get pushed down a hill! The staff were also very friendly and helpful. If you can I would recommend you bring a GoPro camera, the videos turn out great.
  • Surprisingly AWESOME! Definitely recommend having a GoPro to capture the ride down! When you are waiting you are kind of just sitting around. They do have a hot tub but no music or anything going . It was a last minute decision for us to stop and try it out but definitely worth it!
