4.5/5 based on 380+ reviews on the web
Scientifically confirmed as the clearest freshwater lake in the world, Blue Lake ranks as a top attraction for New Zealand tourists. This body of water lies in the northern part of the Southern Alps, in the Nelson Lakes National Park conservation area. Historically, the lake was used by the Maori people during funeral ceremonies, and is therefore considered sacred. Today, you can take a helicopter ride over the water to get the best views, or hike around the park to see it up close. • Was a good couple of hours. Had the Hangi and show too. Good value and enjoyable. Knowlegable guides who will have a laugh too.
