  • Take a 20 minute or so ride out to the Moke lake. Needs an all wheel drive car on bad weather because its at the end of an unsealed road. Once there you are definitely away from the rat race. Parking ...  more »
  • We did a ride out from Queenstown upto and around the lake, it is very beautiful and was a great ride. We had a perfect day for it. Great photography opportunities on a still day.
  • Up from the Lake (along the road to Glenorchy), first on a trail, then on a first tarred, then unpaved road (in a lot of traffic very dusty) to the beautiful Lake. Then along the Lake, then through meadows on a single trail driving in a valley. Can drive after quite a short ungeteerter road again on a Lake down to Lake (degree of difficulty: S1-max2) and back via seven mile bike park, where it still has some great trails (S1-3). Highly recommended.
