  • With become a winery-hopping tour in the Central Otago district, where always as though it enters. Certainly bad, but think and don't think it taste like you mention, say. Good ginger, tour groups to compare with his family-run Winery is a cruel isn't it. Are there including the cheese plant is also being established, so the fun is.

  • Stopped by Gibbston for around half an hour. Didn't take the tour but did get to talk to the staff a bit and do a bit of wine tasting. $5 grants you access to 3 wines from the current season. Good tasting wines but prices were high to purchase full bottles, especially directly from the winery (eliminating the middle man - such as a liquor store)
  • Did the wine tour which includes a peak into the wine cave where they store and age their wine. The on-site store next door has a nice selection of cheese and meats that you can purchase for a picnic on the grounds.
  • Nice set up. Great wine and cheese. Pity for the work being done with heavy machinery in the car park and rude bus loads of tourists. Worth a visit though.
  • If you're going to do a winery tour, this would be the one to go to. The wine cave is amazingly unique and a very fun place to do some wine tasting. Goes without saying that the wine is lovely and the harvest platter was well worth the money paid for it. Tour was insightful and very interesting. However, I would suggest going during the summer, to see the grapes in full.
  • The best winery in Queenstown. Personally I thought the winery scene in Waiheke was much better because you have water views. Wine tour was cheap... around $17NZD. Tour included cave + vineyard with 4 tasting glasses. Flights after were $12NZD. Taxi from town was $109NZD. Overall it was a great rainy day activity and daily cheap minus the transport out there.

Where to stay in Queenstown

To enjoy views of Lake Wakatipu in a luxury setting, try one of the many boutique and long-established hotels of the downtown area. As a resort town, Queenstown also offers a range of more modest accommodations, ideal for adventurers, backpackers, and those eager to spend more time outside than in. These come in the form of hostels, rental apartments, campsites, and suburban motels. A good local bus service provides connections between the downtown and suburban areas, and out to the surrounding attractions, and many accommodations offer package tours.
