  • Been going here since was just a little germ some 30 odd years ago. Love it, and love the quieter atmosphere it holds rather than the place up North where you're literally rubbing bodies with everyone it's so crowded with people. Maybe some things need a facelift, but that probably also depends on who you are as an individual. Are you going there for hot water, and to race the kids down the slides, or are you going there to lick the tiles? and inspect the toilets? If you are a general kiwi family, or bunch of mates looking for a hua of a good time, this is a cool place to go - racing up the stairs to the slides, or chilling out in the hot hot pool, or sneaking in some bombs in the main pool, it's all good. My 5 star basis on the fact that Parakai keeps it real, it's a place where many of us have grown up going too, and its just a general lot of fun, no wonder kids love it - they see places like this for what they really are, good times. Will see you again, and again, even started bringing my own kids just like my old man did with us decades ago.
  • The changing rooms are so filthy. Disgusting that I didnt even want to shower, just dried off and went home! They should be cleaned every few hours but didnt look like they had been cleaned all day there was hair and grime all over the floor, and the female toilets were flooded. The indoor hot pool was just so hot that most visitors were sitting on the edge. Shame the other pool in Parakai is closed because its the best of the two there.
  • Our family loved our visit to Parakai Springs. The facilities looked reasonably clean and nice. The pools were great, nice and large.
  • Our family loves going to Parakai. Fun for all ages... either flying down the slides or relaxing in the Relaxation Pool. There's a new under 8 pool for the little ones and BBQs if you plan to make a day of it. The staff are extremely helpful and the lifeguards are always watching like hawks to ensure everyone is safe.
  • They have good pool temperature. The decor could do with some improving. A bit crowded when we went there as well. But great staff and service.
