Haruru Falls, Paihia

(3.4/5 based on 1,100+ reviews on the web)
When in Paihia, use the opportunity to take a break and immerse yourself in the scenic natural surroundings of Haruru Falls. While at 5 m (16 ft) the waterfall may not be one of the tallest in New Zealand, it's definitely one of the easiest to reach. After a short walk over a well-maintained trail through lush nature, you'll be able to enjoy the views of the waterfall and relax on one of the benches. Despite not being very tall, the waterfall is fairly wide and carries a lot of water, especially during the colder months. If you're visiting when the weather is chillier, make sure to bring waterproof clothes to protect yourself from the spray. • Falls are nice. Water was a bit dirty when we were there. There are better falls
  • Easily accessible by road- very entertaining chickens live here!
  • Beautiful fall just at the road side, easy to access!
  • Nice place, the falls are good I personally would be a little disappointed if I have walked the track from Waitangi to the falls, kids loved the falls
  • Not the biggest waterfall out there but it spilled a decent amount of water over a mediocre drop
