When in Paihia, use the opportunity to take a break and immerse yourself in the scenic natural surroundings of Haruru Falls. While at 5 m (16 ft) the waterfall may not be one of the tallest in New Zealand, it's definitely one of the easiest to reach. After a short walk over a well-maintained trail through lush nature, you'll be able to enjoy the views of the waterfall and relax on one of the benches. Despite not being very tall, the waterfall is fairly wide and carries a lot of water, especially during the colder months. If you're visiting when the weather is chillier, make sure to bring waterproof clothes to protect yourself from the spray. • Easily accessible by road- very entertaining chickens live here!
  • Good walk but the water is dirty. Brown colour deters you from even getting close to it. Best to look at it from a distance
  • The waterfall itself is a bit underwhelming, but its the starting point of a very nice walk through a mangrove forest.
  • Cool picture spot and nice easy walk :)
  • Love it awesome site to see 😆😆
