  • This is place to see Kiwi & other New Zealand wildlife. Great place to show the kids a Kiwi as you're almost gauranteed to see one.
  • Visited in February this year, and were the first people to go through the new kiwi house! We really enjoyed it, and wished we had been able to spend more time here. Staff are fantastic, displays great. Was fascinating watching the kiwis up close. Amazing to see their personalities and habits. Thank you!
  • Amazing time spend with Atu 1 of only 3 big spotted kiwi's in captivity. Great collection of NZ geckos. NZ falcon and other birds. Had great fun looking for the weka that keeps hiding. Paradise ducks - love watching them up close . Black teal, grey teal. Kea and Kaka. Bird lovers paradise. All and all money well spend.
  • Watching the bird feedings and learning about the birds was very fun. We even got to see the kiwi being pretty lively and learned about their conservation efforts. Fun and informative experience with many more birds and creatures than expected!
  • This was the first time we have seen our national bird up close. Recommend that you time your visit to take in the kiwi feeding. We enjoyed not only seeing Atu being fed but learning her story and the stories of the other kiwi. Walking among the other birds in the big enclosure was also a highlight. Thanks Kiwi House for all you do to conserve our precious wildlife.
  • Anyone who loves animals should visit this place. Ig you are a lucky one you can see the kiwis eating their cocktails. there are other lovely animals like the tuatara and some new zealand geckos, birds etc.
