  • Very peaceful location with lots of splendid plants. Unfortunately didn't get to go inside the house, though the history of the family was very interesting.  more »
  • Beautiful garden and easily accessible. It amazes with every turn and detailed spaces. Enjoyed the swing and the grass meadows. A must see in New Plymouth.  more »

  • Lovely site. Unfortunately we visited during winter but i love magnolia so i was happy.
  • beautiful place to visit. Free entry
  • Beautiful gardens. Wonderful place for kids to run around. Tried the house tour but it was far too long to take children to. It would be nice if it had been possible to take a look through and leave after a five minute intro.
  • What a wonderful and peaceful gem we accidentally found! With its beautiful picnic spots, the little swing, the incredible Hydrangea flowers everywhere and the river surrounding it, this place looks like a peace of heaven. Definitely coming back for the house tour as we missed it today. Great effort in maintaining this place in such a great shape.
  • What a magic place. Wish I'd had more time, but parts we did see were absolutely gorgeous. Plenty of rambling walks around well maintained gardens. Tours of the house during certain times of the day. A must visit.
