  • A lovely way to spend an afternoon. Plenty to see, do and the onsite brewery/pub is a great way to finish off the trip. Could have spent more time here but was on a schedule sadly.
  • Went here to have some fun with the kids. Was a let down. Half the things were locked and it's not really child friendly.
  • Easy to get to, something for everyone, whatever age, level of interest in history, mobility ... If you go on a Saturday, as I did, you may be dodging wedding parties, which could limit which building...  more »

  • Interesting snap shot of some local history. Would have been nice if more of the stores were open and actively traded. May be better to come in busy summer times when there is more of an incentive for the stores to be open.
  • A very nice place to have a stroll around. Good range of buildings to look in and at. Nice and spacious and good for kids.
  • Super little open air museum with plenty to entertain and amuse big kids and little ones. The on site brewery/cafe is well worth a visit - lovely brews, good nosh and excellent coffee. There's even a wee small train running on the old train tracks and a superb collection of old pushbikes.
  • People friendly and a market atmosphere. Great spots for meeting mates and good outdoor areas.
  • Many interesting nooks to explore. Nice cafe/brewery too
