  • Beautiful park that recreates life in the time of the founding of Nelson. Very complete, you can access each sector and go inside. As arrived 16: 15 and the Park closed 16:30 they let us pass free. It also has a small playground behind the cafeteria.

  • Interesting snap shot of some local history. Would have been nice if more of the stores were open and actively traded. May be better to come in busy summer times when there is more of an incentive for the stores to be open.
  • A very nice place to have a stroll around. Good range of buildings to look in and at. Nice and spacious and good for kids.
  • Super little open air museum with plenty to entertain and amuse big kids and little ones. The on site brewery/cafe is well worth a visit - lovely brews, good nosh and excellent coffee. There's even a wee small train running on the old train tracks and a superb collection of old pushbikes.
  • People friendly and a market atmosphere. Great spots for meeting mates and good outdoor areas.
  • Many interesting nooks to explore. Nice cafe/brewery too
