  • A disappointment. I ordered the cauliflower croquette.Very small and accompanied by half -yes half a brussel sprout, 2 small rings of a courgette. A tough wilted spring onion, a couple of short sticks of carrot.$31 A policy of no bread with the soup. A Frenchman would explode. We could not take the remainder of our one bottle of wine home.-another policy.Drive drunk or drink responsibly? Is this just a revenue gatherer or is the chef really that precious. We got good service from the waitress with glasses. This occurred last Tuesday lunchtime. The star is for the waitress.
  • Superb lunch with local wine in a lovely location just outside Napier. Well worth a visit.
  • Huge estate filled with history and tradition. Large variety of wines for tasting and a restaurant to have food accompaniment. No need for reservations, they entertain walk ins.
  • Came here as part of a tour and also had lunch. Building is beautiful but the whole experience felt like this business was stingey and uninterested in showcasing their wines. Lunch was moderate, a platter. We had one vegetarian, her food was served on the same platter ("just don't take the meat"). We could choose between one glass of wine or a pudding. Ok, but its an upscale winery, let us try some more. There was also a short tasting session but it was rushed and the staff, although able to recite the standard spiel about the wines, didn't feel passionate. This whole area is full of better vineyards and tastings (try, for example, Trinity Hill or De La Terre where they are passionate and willing to let you try many different wines so you end up buying them).
  • The place is so beautiful, amazing view in the vineyard. The wine tasting was OK and it's very cheap.
