(4.2/5 based on 700+ reviews on the web)
Home to an array of historical buildings, memorials, and other places to visit, Marine Parade stands as an icon of the city. Wander down this popular promenade, a favorite of rollerbladers, and admire its panoply of Art Deco structures, the national aquarium, and all sorts of activity centers. Look for the arch dedicated to the city's revival after a devastating earthquake in 1931, and don't miss the beloved seafront statue of Pania, a mythological Maori figure. After your exploring, you can grab a snack or kick back with a drink at one of the many waterfront cafes and eateries. • Leisurely stroll in the afternoon sun in a non-commercial beach front. Simply superb. And a great wedding photoshoot to top it off.
  • Loved the art deco features down the far end and then the occassional fountain or statue. And the art work on the exterior of the aquarium is fun too.
  • Very well looked after in terms of the grounds being maintained - it has a real simplistic feel and beauty about the place. Nice place to go and gather your thoughts or for small children to run aroun...  more »

  • Good fun stop. A few water traps to make things more fun. Great with kids.
  • It's hard to go wrong with mini-golf. Par2 delivers on everything you hope. You have a choice of 2 courses (you can get a deal to do 2 courses) It's the usual mix of fun and frustration (I wish par 2 described my round :( and lovely views of the ocean. It's worth an hour or 2 of your time if in Napier.
  • Great little mini golf course, great fun for the whole family and wonderful view of the ocean.
  • Stupid game, but so much fun. Nice way to have a laugh with friends or family. Recommended
  • Two courses to choose from but courses are starting to look a bit tired and run down. Beware the parking outside the premises which is only 30 minute parking!
