(4.2/5 based on 650+ reviews on the web)
Home to an array of historical buildings, memorials, and other places to visit, Marine Parade stands as an icon of the city. Wander down this popular promenade, a favorite of rollerbladers, and admire its panoply of Art Deco structures, the national aquarium, and all sorts of activity centers. Look for the arch dedicated to the city's revival after a devastating earthquake in 1931, and don't miss the beloved seafront statue of Pania, a mythological Maori figure. After your exploring, you can grab a snack or kick back with a drink at one of the many waterfront cafes and eateries. • Right along the water side the pathway is suited to walking, running or bike riding. You can stop off to see the pier, grab an ice cream or just sit & take in the views. Ideal for families too.
  • At the time I visited (Oct 2016) there was quite a bit of upgrade work being done between the road & the sea, so it made what would usually be a very lovely walk a little more challenging. That said, ...  more »
  • Beautiful coastal walk, pretty and groomed gardens and views of the beautiful Bay. Nice place to walk, relax, and enjoy the coast.

  • Good fun stop. A few water traps to make things more fun. Great with kids.
  • It's hard to go wrong with mini-golf. Par2 delivers on everything you hope. You have a choice of 2 courses (you can get a deal to do 2 courses) It's the usual mix of fun and frustration (I wish par 2 described my round :( and lovely views of the ocean. It's worth an hour or 2 of your time if in Napier.
  • Great little mini golf course, great fun for the whole family and wonderful view of the ocean.
  • Stupid game, but so much fun. Nice way to have a laugh with friends or family. Recommended
  • Two courses to choose from but courses are starting to look a bit tired and run down. Beware the parking outside the premises which is only 30 minute parking!
