  • . (03/2017) A beautiful garden located at the center of city. Well maintained and different types of plants are grown very well. Awesome waterfall at the center of garden. Relaxing atmosphere. Good for both - spending time at leisure or for quick visits.
  • Paradise in the City....after the Sunday markets it is quite nice to come and sit down with an ice-cream & coffee and simply sit and relax in peace....in Town! Gardens are really well maintained and tidy. Great first or last stop if you are walking up the hill or to Bluff Hill lookout.
  • When we arrived at Napier on our cruise, most people who didn't go on an excursion immediately went to the city center to see the art deco buildings. My partner and I, however, walked directly to Centennial Garden to see the waterfall. It's a quaint, unassuming garden. There was hardly anyone there except for the ground keepers who were tending to the flowers and plants. This is a wonderful little place away from the art deco buildings. We recommend to see this first before going into town.
  • I love to walk up Bluff Hill from Ahuriri and just amble through the many and varied Mature trees. There are some walking tracks and a large manicured lawn area crossed by a man made stream and small lake. Intimate surroundings in a large city environment..
  • Nice place to stop and take some floral photos. Free parking and close to the CBD and waterfront too!
