Bluff Hill Lookout, Napier
Categories: Lookouts, Tourist Spots
Formerly the site of an artillery battery, Bluff Hill Lookout offers a sweeping vantage point surveying the area's coastal scenery. Head uphill via a relatively easy hike, or go by car and take advantage of the parking area at the summit. Upon reaching the top you'll be rewarded with a panorama over Hawke's Bay, the surrounding hills, and the city's working port--one of the country's busiest. You can even sit and enjoy the view from one of the benches in the lookout's small brick shelter.
