  • It is so great to see how this stuff gets made. The tours go at 11:30 everyday and are free. Then you'll want to buy something in the shop. Art and craft in action.  more »
  • I won't say it's a worthwhile visit. But with only an hour or two without any plans, Morris & James Handmade Pottery will definitely be a good place to go to in this area. If the time is right, a guid...  more »
  • As we are from the South Island this was a first visit. Loved the variety and bright colours. Can see why it's a popular place to visit. We didn't eat here but the cafe looked very inviting. I would r...  more »

  • The location and pottery factory was fantastic. The cafe is a really pleasant spot but the food isn't quite as good as it could be. The pizza was doughy and soggy. The salad was bland with little dressing. I had a pecan pie, which came out heated on a sweltering hot day even though I hadn't asked for it to be. It also came without any cream or yoghurt.
  • Just amazing craftsmanship! Amazing colours and designs!
  • Awesome place to shop for gifts for people. Always something new to see each time we go in and everybody is friendly and approachable. The free tour is a great way to see what goes into making their works of art!
  • If pottery is what you love then great. Morris and James Pottery is however a particular style which won't appeal to everyone.
  • Bad service! Four of us ordered four thick shakes in total, two arrived at our table more than 20mins later and by the time the two people in our party had finished their shakes, the other two had still not arrived despite the fact that other customers were receiving they're shakes. In the time we were there, we all noticed that even with table numbers the staff had no idea where two other orders were to go. We ended up leaving after being offered a takeaway cup or refund. We chose the money as they had still not started our shakes even after 35 or more minutes.
