On every Saturday, year round, rain or shine!

Yes thats correct..... every Saturday!

Even in the holidays.... even at Christmas time...even Easter!

8am to 1pm the vibrant farmer’s market is a focal point for locals and growers to meet. Luscious produce from the area fills the stalls – fruit and vegetables, delicious home baking and Italian-style sausages, certified organic herbs & seedlings for your garden, divine organic chocolate, fine wines and boutique olive oils, locally-brewed beer, the all-important morning coffee and live music as an accompaniment.

  • Haven't been for years and might notmcome back for a few more. It's losts its vibe I feel. Needs at least one more coffee house in there. Good for breakfast as a destination but not for shopping

  • It is lovely treat to stop by and feel the vibes of Matakana Village Farmers’ Market. Products display neatly, More options here as well. All the shops around the markets definitely add much more attractions to people coming here. Beautiful stuff have been offered from the local shops. It is definitely worth visiting.
  • Average and not much home grown. Township is lovely though
  • Fun wandering around but not really what I'd call a farmers market. Some fruit and a mushroom stand but no tables of produce like other markets. Yes there's bread, cheese, chocolates and cider etc but I would've liked some multicoloured tomatoes, fresh salad greens, eggplant, cucumbers etc
  • What can one say, but I love Matakana!!! If you haven't visited this quaint village, you're missing something cute. I wished I visited in the 70s or 80s...
