Henley Lake, Masterton

4.5
#5 of 9 in Parks in Wairarapa
A popular recreation area situated between the Waipoua and Ruamahanga rivers, Henley Lake plays home to over 70 species of birds and remains a popular picnic spot among locals. The network of flat trails around the rivers and lake offer an easy way to explore the area on foot or by bike, and also link the lake with Queen Elizabeth Park. Many large open spaces make it perfect for sports or taking the dog out for a walk, while viewing towers around the park offer good views over the grounds.
