  • We were not informed when buying our tickets that the full experience was not available due to the lower pool being closed for maintenance - the one where you get the view from. In fact we got the...  more »
  • The pools are OK, I guess - but the clear felling of the trees behind the pools is ugly, there's construction work going on at the moment, the harsh lighting prevents seeing the night sky, they were.....  more »
  • Excellent day at the hot pools. Hardest thing is securing a booking at the day spa. Love the steam rooms and good friendly staff  more »
  • A decent place but quite a disappointment this time. The water was hardly warm, people kept asking at the reception to crank up the temperature (even though it was mid-summer and still warm outside). The lifeguard did not let our 9 and 7 year old children to play in the kids area without one of the adults freezing nearby to watch them. Not to mention a crowd of Chinese tourists always getting in the way anywhere we went. But have to admit the views are outstanding nonetheless.
  • Wasn't what we were hoping for. The waters were warm but not hot, I think the hottest pool was 39°C. And I personally couldn't get very comfortable sitting or laying in the waters. We left after only 30 minutes. I wish they would add more comfortable laying\sitting possibilities in the water and have a pool 41°C+ and an ice plunge pool with -10°C water.
  • Arrived in Tekapo early afternoon and it was raining. Other attractions were a bit wet so decided on a relaxing afternoon at Tekapo springs with a sauna and the hot pools. Would of liked a massage in the spar but it was fully booked. There was a very slow moving queue to pay in reception, only one member of staff. Staff were pleasant and helpful. Good place to go on a rainy afternoon.
  • My friends and I each got a massage and then spent time in the "hot pool". It was not very hot. It's a nice facility and they have a wonderful star gazing event at night.
  • Did the stargazing/hot tub experience. We learned some cool star facts, saw interesting stars through the telescopes, and had a nice relaxing soak in the hot tub looking up at the stars! Very fun!!
