  • Loved the hot water bubbling from beneath my toes. This setting is surrreal-authentically set aside to soak. Some tubs too hot to enjoy the day I succumbed to such. Looking forward to another...  more »
  • My friend has developed a horrible rash over her whole body after visiting these hot pools, these hot pools are unsanitary and I strongly recommend you avoid them.  more »

  • Very inexpensive $5 each! Lovely range of wooden soaking pools at various temperatures from 33deg to 44deg! Bring water bottle. Rustic.
  • This place is tourism icon in our area. It is very well taken care of and they also have great hours - 9am to 9pm everyday. They will be revamping soon, but as it is, it is a delightful place to relax!
  • Located far up north, Te Waiariki Ngawha is one of the only thermal spas in the area. I drove up here from Auckland, to see what it was like. The location is quite remote, and the access is a bit on gravel. The reception, and the building itself is very old but it holds the history over the years. There is EFTPOS on site, no credit cards. Accompanied by 11 (could vary) small pools, there is a range to choose from. The different minerals and colors, with varying temperatures offer a new experience between each and every pool. It's good, I personally only stayed here for two hours but my skin was feeling fresh and full of life upon leaving. Is it worth driving from Auckland, maybe not so much but if you're nearby it's definitely worth visiting.
  • Loved the soak. Don't take clothes you want to wear elsewhere the smell will stick with them for a while. But so relaxing definitely worth it
  • An amazing place, Very friendly staff and the hot water is incredible, but a bit run down. It would be great if the locals could help with maintenance. I'm sure there are people looking for something to do, engaging in volunteer work is good for our Mana. Maybe a grant from the district council would help to purchase materials. Still well worth the visit. Keep it simple, Keep it affordable, Keep out pc bureaucracy.
