  • Excellent zoo for kids, we can get relatively close to the animals. Especially at the giraffe and the fantastic rhino enclosure. Take a tour if you can for the rhinos... lots to learn! Cafe is just ok...  more »
  • Than Auckland Zoo staff are walking together to start to walk my daughter safe passage, the staff were very helpful. You can listen to your animals and keeper talk time is set by the time and day of the week, so its time to gather. Or trust the keeper that day just in the Sai story time take care then always come together bunch rhinos, was a sight to see. W children ate snack break at the Café and beautiful India Peacock appeared, went walking with plenty of play in the playground located near the Cafe then and went home. I think the staff best. Juice is put in some places and candy vending machine and walked and sometimes break. It is good! The chimpanzee area especially!

  • The zoo is fantastic. A wonderful free flight sanctuary for birds, many of the major animal species and a great, friendly staff. What more could one ask for.

  • Lovely place to spend a morning / afternoon. There's heaps to see and there are frequent feedings, talks, and info sessions. All of the staff are helpful and informative. The cafe is quite decent, with a good range of choices in food and drink, and there is always plenty of parking.
  • Love this zoo. It's clean, well presented, and the animals all look happy. It's well designed for families and smaller children which is a big plus.
  • Easy to navigate makes it hard to miss any enclosure, very tame and amusing animals and priced good too. I would go back just to visit the bird enclosure again.
  • Wonderfull Zoo with a great layout system so that you can easily get around and see all the animals.
  • For me, the best zoo that I've seen. Nice place for families. I really recommend the Face 2 Face experience.
