Take a stroll or catch a performance at Hamilton Gardens, which has dozens of themed gardens and hosts over 2,000 events every year. The many gardens are organized into various departments--paradise, productive, fantasy, cultivar, and landscape--and feature everything from a traditional Victorian flower garden to the unconventional Modernist garden. • Visiting gardens in winter are not the ideal, but these were beautiful none the less. It is hard to believe the area was a dump only 40 years ago. A large area is given over to concept gardens , each ...  more »

  • Most of the park is unremarkable but the themed gardens are what make this place amazing. Each of the themed gardens is unique and is created to emulate the gardening style from different regions and time-frames. Schedule at least two hours to explore and know that no garden you visit again will compare. Unfortunately the city of Hamilton doesn't have much else to offer travellers and I can't say the gardens are solely worth going to Hamilton for.
  • Tranquil & peaceful, beautiful gardens a variety to admire including sculptures & a walk around a big pond. Lovely day out for anyone who enjoys the outdoors. I would definitely stop here for a picnic lunch & recommend to all.
  • Much greater than I had anticipated. Had breakfast at the cafè which was had some very interesting choices, and food quality was very good, as was the coffee. The gardens were very impressive and authentic to each region. My advice would be to not look at all the photos, but discover it all for yourself. This is from the Japanese garden.
  • Absolutely amazing and beautiful place to hangout with family and friends. The Paradise and Fantasy Garden collections are the best place to visit. My favorite was, Indian, Italian and Japaneses gardens. They also have information center, Lake side Cafe and single and double bikes for rent to enjoy the ride along the big garden. Must place to visit if your visiting Hamilton or passing through it.
  • Was very beautiful but there is lots that was coming soon and still in progress. When the gardens are finished will be amazing but that looks over a year away. That being said, probably one of the best Hamilton attractions.
