  • It seems a shame that the paintings are next to a some modern graffiti which takes the shine off the historical drawings and makes them difficult to make out.  more »
  • Takiroa, in my opinion, not worth it to go here. But if along the way you can stop to take a look. Entrance is free of charge. Give Aboriginal rock art in New Zealand.

  • A little before the town of Kurou (Kurow) are entertaining rock formations. We stopped to look. It turned out that there is still an ancient Māori rock art and gives (Takiroa Maori Drawings). Entrance is free of charge.
