  • Definitely one of my favourite farmers markets so far. True to the meaning of farmers market. Fresh produce from local places with a little bit for everyone.
  • Great place to get some good organic fresh produce, meat, cheeses, baking and support local small scale growers in their hard work. Good coffee, crepes, churros etc for a yummy breakfast too! Definitely something to do if you are in Dunedin on a Saturday.
  • Great local food and produce. Excellent buskers. OK coffee. Always fun to visit. Especially if the sun is out in the morning. Go early for the best produce.
  • Cheap fruits, Veges and the most important is Manuka Honey. Love the atmosphere, street performance and good food to enjoy. If you have no cash, just cash out from one of the traders. Easy right?
  • Such a great range of things to try and buy. The Turkish filled breads are good value and the moonshine is a must buy.

Where to stay in Dunedin

Many of the accommodations in Dunedin are based around the central George Street thoroughfare, including a wide range of hotels and hostels. Rental apartments represent a fine way to stay in Dunedin, and may appeal more to those wanting to stay on the move or take in the town and the surrounding landscape at their own pace. Campsites situated to the north and east of the town center give you more economical options, while motels cluster along the main highways, convenient if you're coming by car.
