  • This house is fascinating particularly the antiques. The only negative was the very short tour, one hour just doesn't give you enough time to study all the antiques etc.

  • It was long ago that I visited this wonderful old home. Beautifully presented a time long ago. When rich folks had servants, and the household was run to schedule. Delivery people had their own entrance and fraternising with house maids was frowned upon. The furniture and devote kept in pristine condition as are the gardens and surrounds. A wonderful place to visit and take a walk through another era and learn of some secrets and stories that houses such as Olveston can tell. Our guide was informative revealing some interesting anecdotes about this amazing house.
  • Attractive and fascinating historic home
  • Had a look around as part of a community walk and found the place to be lovely. Plan to return and do the guided tour to learn more about the place. Highly recommend people to check the place out.
  • NZD$17.50 which is quite cheap expecially as there were only two of us on the tour. Beautiful place frozen in time. Lots of art which didn't interest me that much, I was there more for the building.
  • Beautiful old house with all the original trappings inside. $17 entrance is quite expensive but an attraction not to be missed.
