  • Not the greatest art collection on the planet but a surprisingly nice (and free!) little art museum. They even have a Pissarro and a Monet. Overall, I would not have done the trip just to see it but t...  more »
  • This gallery has a superb collection of famous paintings including an extensive collection of excellent works by important New Zealand artists. The gallery has excellent lighting and a lovely cafe.  more »

  • Very good gallery. Interesting quality pieces in the exhibition and well displayed. Good spaces for works of specific artists. This gallery knows how to display good art well. Knowledgeable, helpful and interested staff. Very convenient location. A must!
  • Worth coming in for the fabulous and notable art collection. For a small gallery, it has note worthy classical artist and famous New Zealand artists. The small gift shop has well picked cards, books and other New Zealand gifts worth looking at. The gallery can also host events and be booked for special occasions. We are proud of our gallery.
  • Really impressive and versatile collection of works. And a good mix of local artists and international. Spotted one Monet & a Picasso painting as well. It was a great addition to our time in Dunedin.
  • Interesting article and it's free. Takes about an hour to have a good look
  • Amazing collection of art centrally located in the octagon. Great mix of contemporary and old art. Good cafe located in same building.
