Aramoana Beach, Dunedin

Categories: Beaches, Nature & Parks, Outdoor Activities
Inspirock Rating:
4.7/5 based on 100+ reviews on the web
Aramoana Beach is a long, white-sand beach split in half by the Mole, a breakwater stretching out into the harbor entrance. Take a walk down the Mole when the waves are crashing in for an exciting stroll, and watch the albatrosses swoop down to the water. A trail and boardwalk pass along tidal slat marshes, leading to a large sandhill at the beach's northern tip. Surfers frequent the rough waters, and families often come with picnics.
