Clearwater Golf Resort, Christchurch
(4.4/5 based on 20+ reviews on the web)
Golf at its best

Set within 220 hectares and just 10 minutes from Christchurch International Airport and close to the city, New Zealand's premier lifestyle golf resort has something for everyone.

The par 72 championship course is home to the ISPS Handa NZ Women's Open. Designed by John Darby in consultation with New Zealand golfing legend, Sir Bob Charles, the course combines elements of links golf inspired by the great Scottish courses with parkland golf, more reminiscent of Florida.

Since opening in 2002 the course has hosted 14 international professional golf events and has welcomed Bubba Watson, Jason Dufner, Laura Davies, Angela Stamford and Lydia Ko to it's fairways amongst many others.

Playable year-round, the course meanders around a succession of spring-fed lakes and trout-filled streams, with uninterrupted views of the spectacular Southern Alps.

There are five tee positions on the par 72 course to suit players of all abilities and a special challenge of the par 60 executive layout ( the course within the course) for those who are time constrained but seek a challenge.
