  • We stumbled across the winter garden whilst walking back from the museum, and thoroughly enjoyed it. Beautiful plant arrangements and the Fernery is lovely to walk through. A little oasis in the city....  more »
  • A lot of unusual plants and a tranquil pond. There is also a hothouse. We visited as part of a tour but don't think it is worth a special visit unless you are in the area visiting the museum.  more »
  • I love visiting the winter gardens at any time of the year- there are always interesting plants to admire, and love sitting in the warm, sunny courtyard by the Lilly ponds.  more »

  • Great place to go for a walk or relax in a big open space. Sports teams practise here most days which can be nice to watch. Check out the botanical gardens if you want to see some amazing plants.
  • Lots of things to do here. Sports fields to run around in, football on the museum side and cricket near the grandstand. There are plenty of walkways that lead to various areas of the park. the main road goes through the park to exit on Broadway on the Parnell side. A big feature here is the Wintergardens, an all year round glasshouse. There are also quite a few statues and interesting areas around. It is also the venue for many events such as the lantern festival and Auckland arts festival.
  • Good place to have a picnic, walk or run. Great place to spend time with family, friends or your better half☺. You can walk to the museum or Winter Garden which should take 15mins. Nice little Cafe but a dad pricey.
  • Lots of activities are held at the domain. Can access here by getting out of Grafton train station. It gets really busy when big events like Christmas in the park and lantern festivals are on. Museum is great too.
  • An amazing place to see the Auckland history and old heritage. Huge place, surround by Auckland domain. Plenty of car park. Museum is free for locals but charges 10$ for visitors.
