  • The gardens are immaculately kept and a lovely display of colour. There are also very good, clean toilets at this location!
  • At a quarter of an hour from the city center, just after the Aquarium, be sure to make a stop in this Park. In the middle of a beautiful flower garden, stands the Memorial to honor Michael Joseph Savage, 1st Minister of New Zealand, founder of the welfare state. Open every day.

  • The view towards the city is great. The memorial itself is surrounded with the park and beautiful gardens. I really liked the place because of the hidden bunkers! But the whole park a bit to crowded with people for my taste.
