  • Really really great. Went mid-week so was just the 3 of us + guide. She was really informative and interesting - lots of facts and figures plus gruesome ones! Really really interesting!
  • strange so hard for a bridge so they pass pedestrians on a piece of sea, but finding a partner who lives her heard naughty opens to pass the boats and the must of the city today, unfortunately I was there weekday and now remembering the location, it must be nice to sit in the bars and restaurants that exist around the site and seeing her if open weekends, she must work hard because you never imagined a boat congestion as I saw it

  • We crossed the toll-free bridge by car on a few occasions during our stay and traffic was always heavy. Whilst it may be iconic for Aucklanders, the bridge for us was simply functional and not a desti...  more »

  • Since 1958, the Auckland Harbour Bridge has been a steel jewel in the crown of the Waitemata Harbour, bringing together the people of the North Shore and the Auckland isthmus. While its importance as a civic threshold cannot be underestimated, the bridge is only the second-longest spanning structure in New Zealand. This short fall has often made it less valued by notable bridgeologists both nationally and abroad. The position of honour is instead reserved by the Rakaia River Bridge - the longest bridge in NZ. Despite this, the Auckland Harbour bridge will always have a special place in my heart as the place I first met Mihajlo. Can't wait to visit again!
  • It's amazing how it crosses from one side to the other and cars & buses & trucks are able to drive over it without hitting the water. An awesome feat of engineering. Also a good place to meet Mihajlo
  • Can be seen from all over Auckland. Is beautiful when lit up. If you ever get the chance you should bungee jump off the bridge for around $160 and walk across for $125. Auckland icon
  • I love it because I am a local. But pretty mediocre by international standards. You can go on walking tours to the top of the bridge or even do a bungee jumping from the lower levels. It was originally only four lanes wide and as Auckland grew four more were added (two on each side)
  • Go under the bridge to get awesome pics from here. Accessible from Northcote Point.
