  • Good spot for picnic with kids. Can do a quick swim in water and enjoy food from a food truck. Not a bad idea to carry own food.  more »

  • Nice for picnics on the side, watching the waterfalls. Lots of other picnic areas. Plenty of parking space. Fresh air. Cool breeze. Lovely ducks. Best thing is it's open and free for everyone to enjoy!
  • We loved this waterfall! So relaxing just sitting down looking and listening to the water. Be careful if you want to swim and it’s not advised due to potential danger but you can really enjoy it, from up close if you walk around, without having to take any risk.
  • Lovely and very popular area, mostly always busy but we went during the week in an evening and it wasn't too busy. There is public toilets available here. There are a couple of different walking trails. There is a small walk to get to the waterfall. Although people swim here and it doesn't appear to be unsafe there are warnings in place and quite a few people have drowned there and never been found.
  • This was beautiful to see. First waterfall visit in New Zealand. It is serenity at its best. I think its about 22m high waterfall. Very good outing for the whole family. My daughter is 21 months and she enjoyed the short 10min walk to the waterfall as well. There is a 2 hour walk. We will attempt the long walk as a hike; next time...👍
  • A great place to visit with friends and family. We'll preserved and clean. A must do if you're into trekking or even if you just want to relax and watch a gorgeous waterfall.
