  • Well-maintained and beautiful gardens. A spectacular display ready for every season - which are for the eyes, beautiful to behold. Lovely cafe at the entrance too.  more »
  • A very calm place with a lot of beautiful flowers, and the rose garden seems to be very well placed!  more »
  • Cafe badly organised slow and worse of all not clean. We asked for our table to be wiped he came with a dirty cloth and half wiped it scraping the bits on the floor. Wont be going there again.  more »
  • . (02/2019) Auckland Botanic Gardens is a nice collection of gardens, walkways and parks. There are multiple entrances from different directions with easy access. Visitor Centre is located at the main entrance and is a good place to start exploration of this Botanical Garden. Some of the attractions at this amazing place include Rose Garden, African Garden, Historic Rose Garden, Herb Garden, Reflective Rose Garden, Edible Garden and Rock Garden. Most of the gardens are well maintained and regularly looked after. Some of the gardens appear ignored which is easy noticeable on entrance to those gardens. Seating and benches are provided at regular distances for taking rest and enjoying the views. Good for visiting on a clear day to spend a great time. An ideal place to do a get-together or organise a picnic on a sunny day. Ample parking space. Wheelchair parking is available and there is wheelchair accessible entrance. A good place for families, kids and meditation. Public restrooms are available.
  • We love this garden! So good to go for a day or just a stroll. The kids also enjoy discovering plants and there current space theme is making them interested in details we didn’t even noticed. Don’t hesitate to go there as you’ll definitely spend a nice day!
  • What a beautiful slice of heaven. We loved our stroll through the gardens. You can easily spend a whole day there with the family. It's pram and wheelchair friendly, the cafe offers a range of food and drinks and the gardens are very well maintained. We shall be back :-)
  • Nice green lung in the southern part of Auckland, can't compare to Auckland Domain. It features different gardens such as African, Herbs and Edible Garden, which is not often found in other botanical gardens. Not much of floral though, it would be good if there is a glass house garden for flowers lovers.
  • Nice space to explore for a couple of hours. Lots of development going on at the moment which will be great once it's finished. Plenty of car parking if you follow the sign to the overflow car park which is not far from the entrance.
