Myers Park is a narrow park in central Auckland, New Zealand, running parallel to the upper part of Queen Street. It is characterised by steep, grassed slopes and canopied with a mixture of large exotic and native trees, including an alley of large palm trees.A playground, benches and various artworks (including a marble copy of Michelangelo's sitting Moses statue) are features of the park. Paths cross the park connecting to Queen Street, K Road, Grey's Avenue and Aotea Square.Opened in 1915 Myers Park is sometimes referred to as Auckland's oldest park which is incorrect as several parks predate it; the Auckland Domain 1842, Western Park 1875, Albert Park 1884, Victoria Park 1905, Point Erin Park 1911 and Parnell Park 1913 (now Dove-Myer Robinson Park).HistoryRunning downhill from the northern slope of the Karangahape ridge, the park was formed in 1914-15 out of an overgrown gully facing towards the Waitemata Harbour.

Myers Park is a small park, which connects St Kevin completo Arcade to the main street. It is a must in the city tour. It was not as impressive as Albert Park, but is very nice and has games for kids,

Not a touristic spot but more of a quiet place to relax a few hours. If you have limited time in Auckland then dont bother but if you have more time to appreciate then its a nice place to read a book,...  more »

Park with children's play area with skating zone in the heart of the city. Located on a contoured site as so many other parks in Auckland. Peaceful and usually not crowded. Overlooked by apartment block.

Beautiful park, kids play area, kindergarten, green grass, shady trees, clean park, quiet if you need a lunch break, or just relax under the shade of the trees and enjoy fresh air.

Myers park is highly maintained and has some awesome rides for kids and I highly recommend families with young kids to go there, the kids will love it! There is a drinking fountain and toilets as well for your convenience.

So this guy offered to sell me weed; now I'm no teenage delinquent so I had to decline his generous offer, but it's this sort of enterprising that makes Myers park so great.

Nice little park with a newish, colourful playground. Suitable for toddlers and slightly older kids alike. Equipment includes small slides, bigger slides, wobbly bridge, several small animals to ride on, merry go round, caterpillar to ride on, swings and a swinging basket-thing. My son loves to play and hide in the little hollow pumpkin. Some shade provided by big metal flowers and good picnic spots under trees nearby.
