The center of the park is One Tree Hill, a volcanic cone that was a Maori stronghold. Today, the hill's summit is topped with a memorial to Sir John Logan Campbell, the park's main donor. In addition to lush greenery, the park offers facilities for various activities, such as tennis, cricket, rugby, cycling, or archery. With a peaceful atmosphere and more than 20 resident bird species, the park is also heaven for bird-watchers. The park is open every day from morning to dusk and there is no admission fee. • We all met at Cornwall Park for a large family gathering before Xmas. We had 30 adults and 12 children. The kids took their bikes, scooters, cricket set, balls etc. We all took something for lunch and...  more »
  • Only saw a little bit of it as we didn't realise how massive it was and only had a quick stop. From what we saw looked like an amazing park and slice of greenery within Auckland. Worth stopping at and...  more »
  • Lovely grounds, good facilities for barbecue, good parking places and lovely flowers and trees. It's nice to walk there every time, but we like it best during spring (October to December) and summer (...  more »

  • Haven't been to the place I'm live around the neighborhood & I would like the opportunity
  • Convenient location for a range of travellers. Walk to lovely Cornwall park, or to Alexander Park Trotting. Short drive to Newmarket shopping precinct, only a short hop to the city & only about 30mins to the airport.
  • excellent clean and tidy hotel , bed was comfy plenty of different teas and coffee for drinking would recommend stayed last nights as we went to the Trots at Alexandra Park 10 minds walk away awesome
  • The room was very clean, and nicely furnished, it had a comfy bed and nice bathroom, easy to walk to restaurants, showgrounds, bus stop right outside. The staff were very accommodating and even though the air con did not work they brought me a fan. I am looking forward to returning in the near future.
  • not what I expected from a motor inn. the room was clean and had everything we needed. it was more like what we would expect from a hotel. we had a simple cooked breakfast that was cooked perfectly and we loved the fact they payed attention to detail. weve stayed in a lot of places that have fallen short of the mark as far as the sky service provided and the food served. this wasn't one of them. loved the fact that the owners used their own car to drop off fellow guests to the eagles concert when the taxi co didn't turn up. would stay there again and would recommend them as a really nice place to stay. with all the amenities needed close by as well
