  • My 21 year old son and I were impressed with the Penguin & Conservation Tour. We were engaged and entertained. We learned about the local landscape, local history and saw first hand Penguin conservation efforts. Kevin, our tour guide was enthusiastic and a fountain of local information. Definitely would recommend this tour if you are interested in Nature and in Penguins or just want to go on a fun interactive outing.
  • We did the overnight Pohatu package. It started with a driving tour, then a hike through some spectacular New Zealand landscapes, penguin viewing and kayaking. We enjoyed all of it. We saw a lot of marine wildlife including penguins, seals and dolphins. Our guides Ben and Kevin were great and our daughter enjoyed feeding the young lambs. The hut has all the basics, but it's an outdoor toilet. Definitely a highlight on our New Zealand trip.
  • Loved the trip a friend and I took out to stay in Flea Bay with Pohuta Penguins! Our guide was lovely with lots of local knowledge, and showed us some great views. The accommodation was much better than I anticipated - oven, fridge and freezer, shower, even electric blankets!! The penguin tour in the evening was great and nice that it's a family home surrounded by penguin boxes. The kayaking the next morning ws a fun way to see the bay, along with lots more wildlife. Very good experience and would happily go again with other friends in the future.
  • Did the evening tour and was greater than what we expected - our guide Kev was very knowledge and passionate about the conservation work that they are doing. Definitely a must do in Akaroa and I recommend them to everyone and support the work that they are doing!
  • My mum and I went for a kayak tour and we saw seals and a pair of penguins in the colony at Flea Bay. Amazing day!
