Where to stay in Akaroa

Akaroa has a decent number of accommodations available for its visitors, including many motels, apartments, and hostels located close to the water. French-themed bed and breakfasts nicely complement the local ambience, while luxury resorts and retreats offer an indulgent option when booked in advance. Farther from the center, you'll find RV parks and, on the roads leading out of the town, a few motels.

  • We visited this shop in February 2017 and it was really interesting with loads of different unique jewellery. Worth visiting if you want something a little different.  more »

  • While in town you should pop in. Kid friendly (normal behaviour of course), and interesting things to learn about crystals. We found some great little touristy gifts to take back. Easy walk from town centre. Glad we went.
