Journey through some of the island's lushest coastal landscapes along Abel Tasman Coast Track, arguably the nation's most popular hiking route. Stretching 51 km (32 mi) through the surrounding Abel Tasman National Park, the trail features numerous side-branches, resting spots, and natural points of interest. Grab some comfortable walking shoes and hit the well-marked path, admiring secluded beaches, sweeping ocean views, and winding rivers along your way. • As I said before, arriving in the Abel Tasman National Park by sea is an authentic enjoyed, but it is more even touring the Grand route of the coast, one of the most popular and most beautiful of the country. We started on Medlands Beach, from where we add to this path of 51 kilometers and where we will visit 11. The road is dirt and from the beautiful beaches of golden sand, can be bordered by coastal forests and many surprises as the Cleopatra pool, which we will see in the next corner. Very well signposted and with affordable levels to the family, goes up and down hillsides and mountains to go down to the beaches and then back again through the hills that make up the Park and which nature had good make hard marble and limestone molded. Lakes of crystal clear waters and Sandy bottoms, inputs of the sea forming small fjords, shrubs with white and fragrant flowers, bridges, saving small rises among the canyons that make up the mountains, and a host of natural vantage points that allow you to see the entire coast of the Park, with its golden beaches, tongues of sand and vegetation that almost touches the water perched almost white rocks. Abel Tasman is without doubt a magical place, where the eyes are relaxed to let light and all its colours, where nature and man appear to hand so that one can enjoy from each other without any kind of border, so the senses are opened to a different, explored but wild world. Abel Tasman is the pride of the South Island.
