Abel Tasman Coast Track, Abel Tasman National Park

(4.8/5 based on 550+ reviews on the web)
Journey through some of the island's lushest coastal landscapes along Abel Tasman Coast Track, arguably the nation's most popular hiking route. Stretching 51 km (32 mi) through the surrounding Abel Tasman National Park, the trail features numerous side-branches, resting spots, and natural points of interest. Grab some comfortable walking shoes and hit the well-marked path, admiring secluded beaches, sweeping ocean views, and winding rivers along your way. Though it takes several days to travel the track in its entirety, you can get a solid taste of the area by opting for a smaller section of the path. Bear in mind during your trek that some portions of the trail are only crossable at low tide, so plan accordingly. • Walked part of this track and enjoyed great views over the bay and out to sea. Easy walking, can be quite busy.  more »
  • We are driven to Marahau by car, slightly curvy but the way through a very beautiful nature! Provide free of charge at the large car park the car and walk up to the information kiosk Marahau (that in Google maps, for example check out)! From there, going a track, already beautiful launches via bridges and we are, I think normal fast approx. 1.5 hours to not crowded Apple tree Bay run. Was a fantastic hike with a great reward, so a super beautiful beach. In any case, please drink and maybe take something to eat!
